BIOGRAFíA DE JORGE ENRIQUE ABELLO (Versión no revisada del27de Mayo del 2004)

PARTE 1

A principios de 1968, exactamente el 28 de Febrero, nació en Santa Fé de Bogotá, en la clínica del Country, uno de los mejores actores colombianos del momento: Jorge Enrique Abello Moreno,hijo de Alberto Abello de Sucre y Heidi Moreno, descendiente directo del héroe de la independencia americana Antonio José de Sucre, es el menor de 5 hermanos. . Sus padres y hermanos lo recibieron con mucha alegria ya que despues de 10 años la casa se llenaba con las risas y travesuras de un niño. Jorge fué creciendo en un hogar feliz y con mucho cariño, le gustaba leer todos los cuentos que podia y se pasaba las horas imaginando que el era el protagonista de uno de ellos… ;“hablando del tema cuenta que su sueño era tener una máquina del tiempo para poder ir desde el pasado hasta el futuro…“Soñaba con ser

Superman, ser bombero, ser policia, ser el hombre nuclear, ser astronauta, ser de la legion extranjera… y fíjate, lo logré, ahora puedo ser todas esas cosas con mi trabajo”…

Ya a los 8 años debuto en el teatro de la escuela con la obra : “Miringa y Mironga la gata Candonga. En su debut en el cuento de Rafael Pombo conserva una anécdota curiosa:

“Yo pensaba que era gato y despues con el tiempo me vine a enterar de que

era gata. Entonces ya no me convencio tanto el disfraz”.

Jorge estudió en un colegio llamado “Gimnasio Moderno” y realizó sus estudios universitarios en la “Universidad Javeriana” con especialización en Producción de Televisión Educativa donde se licenció en Comunicación Social. (yo he leido de que nunca se graduórealmente porque se metió a trabajar con la Tele, pero no encuentro donde. Alguien sabe?)

Le apasiona Humphrey Bogart, “Erá un hombre rudo, y tenia mucho estilo, Bogart siempre tiene algo de mi y de mis aféctos, es el antihéroe, es el hombre perdido y que siempre sale adelante con un acto heroico, me encanta….le gusta vestir bien, le encanta, la equitación, el cine, la lectura, la esgrima, el buceo y últimamente es aficionado al golf.

En cada una de las entrevistas concedidas a los medios de comunicación, siempre sobresale su gran calidad humana y lo que ama a su pais Colombia, en una de ellas dijo : ““Tengo un caracter muy fuerte, soy estricto y muy dormilon, pero tambien soy generoso y sencillo y creo en la vida, el amor y en DIOS.””

De su pasión por la lectura le encanta leer a Jorge Luis Borges del cual dice:“ha sido un autor que me ha mostrado el mundo y me enseño a amar la literatura”, tambien se define entusiasta de todo lo. concerniente al “humor negro”.El mismo reconoce que cuando no está de buen humor sus bromas pueden ser muy hirientes; de hecho como consecuencia de sus ironias y chistes JEA ha tenido algunos tropiezos: -“ME bajaron tres dientes por cínico, porque siempre me he burlado de todo el mundo y cuando uno es burletas, tiene que atenerse a las consecuencias o aguantarse”.Además de los dientes le fracturaron la nariz en dos ocasiones y cuando decidio corregirse y no burlarse más de nadie, por lo menos en voz alta,

sufrio la caída de un caballo y volvio a romperse la nariz de nuevo.

De este suceso ha comentado:…“Fué un accidente mas, he seguido saltando

a caballo… pero con tres fracturas creo que tengo una nariz muy remendada”.

Jorge igual que su esposa es un gran amante de los perros por eso en su hogar estan “Barbarita y Popeye” a los que miman y quieren mucho. Barbarita es una perrita que recogieron de la calle y que Jorge llama “mi sol” y Popeye es un perrito que Marcela trajo de Miami. De ellos cuenta que …“son como caricaturas: ella tiene la lengua fuera todo el día y el es un enano. Cuando salimos a la calle nos miran divertidos, yo no tengo a mi ladoningúnMastin Napolitano ni un labrador ¡no! tengo una perrita de la calle y un enano, y son esos dos los que me producen una felicidad enorme”..
