We are live from Cincinnati, Ohio and your announcers are Jerry ‘Will Kane do anything with Pete Rose tonight’ Lawler and Michael ‘Herb Tarlek is my hero’ Cole.

Match Number One: Santino Marella versus Alberto Del Rio (with Ricardo Rodriguez)

Santino with punches but Del Rio with a clothesline and kicks to Santino. The referee warns Alberto and Santino with punches but Del Rio with a suplex. Del Rio runs Santino into the corner and he kicks Santino in the chest. Del Rio slaps Santino and chokes him in the corner. Del Rio with a kick and Irish whip.

Del Rio runs into the corner and Santino sends Del Rio onto the apron and Santino with a drop kick that sends Del Rio to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Del Rio is working on Santino’s arm. Santino with punches but Del Rio punches back to stop Santino. Del Rio leaps onto Santino’s chest and then he mocks the Cobra. Del Rio kicks Santino in the ribs and shoulder. Del Rio with an arm bar on Santino. Del Rio with a kick to the leg and a side head lock but Santino with a Saito suplex and both men are down.

Santino with punches and then he does the flip but he cannot get up and Del Rio kicks him in the chest. Del Rio with a boot to Santino’s chest. Del Rio goes to the turnbuckles but he misses a double stomp and Del Rio appears to have tweaked his knee. Santino sets for the Cobra but Del Rio was playing mongoose and then Del Rio sends Santino into the ring post and then he applies the cross arm breaker and Santino taps out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

After the match, Del Rio stands over Santino and he says that he just destroyed the US Champion like nothing. Santino Marella is beneath him. Sheamus is beneath him. All of the people in here are beneath him. If it is not a World Title match, he will not compete. Starting today, he will not compete until SummerSlam.

Non-Title Match: Santino © vs. Alberto Del Rio

No car entrance for Del Rio tonight. They say it is due to the fire earlier tonight. Santino attacks, but Del Rio kills him with a clothesline, and then lays the boots to him. Rights by Santino, but a suplex by Del Rio stops that. To the corner and kicks by Del Rio. He slaps Santino, and then works the arm in the ropes. A whip to the corner, and Santino sends Del Rio to the apron and then to the floor. We head to a commercial @ 2:00.

We are back from commercial @ 5:00, with Del Rio working the arm. Santino works to his feet and then escapes and then gets dropped by a right from Del Rio. Double stomp by Del Rio, and then lays the boots to Santino. Del Rio works the arm again, but Santino fights back once again, and jabs away at Del Rio. Split by Santino and then eats a kick to the fact by Del Rio. More boots by Del Rio, misses the second rope double stomp and Santino has the cobra. Kick by Del Rio, and then sends Santino to the post. Single arm DDT, and then the arm breaker and Santino taps.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Alberto Del Rio @ 6:00 via submission RATING: *½

After the match, Del Rio says he destroyed the US Champion like nothing. He says both Santino and Sheamus are beneath him, along with the fans. If it is not a world title match, he will not compete. So he will not compete until Summerslam.

SEGMENT TWO: Santino Marella vs. Alberto Del Rio

Match Result: Alberto Del Rio made Santino Marella tap out

Match Length: Six minutes, 45 seconds

Well, we asked for longer matches and the former less-than-a-minute encounters between Del Rio and Santino got almost seven minutes. Obviously, the phrase that comes to mind is “Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.” This was a two-minute squash match stretched out until Del Rio destroyed Santino easily. But, it was almost worth it for the short promo Del Rio cut after the match: “I just destroyed the US Champion like nothing! Like nothing! Santino Marella is beneath me! Sheamus is beneath me! All of you people are beneath me! If it is not a world title match, I will not compete. Starting today, I will not compete until SummerSlam.” I really like that idea. Hopefully, they got the other way with Sheamus and have him wrestle more, destroying everyone in his path.
