Smackdown/Superstars/Saturday Morning Slam Spoilers 8/17
We open SmackDown with a recap of last week and the beat down on Shemaeus by Alberto Del Rio. Del rio is out to start the show and is demanding that he get his championship match back at SummerSlam.
Booker T is out to confront Del Rio. Booker T says that a man does not dress goons up in cop suits and attack one man. Chris Jericho comes out and goes off on Del Rio and calls him a yapping dog. Jericho starts speaking Spanish and says that Del Rio’s breath smells like dog s–t in Spanish. Yes, he’s speaking in Spanish. Jericho says that he wants to take Del Rio’s spot at SummerSlam. The main event tonight is set, and it will be Jericho vs. Del Rio. I am assuming it’s for the World title shot at SummerSlam, but I’m confirming that.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho is up next. Del Rio is out first. Jericho is coming out and is attacked by Ziggler, who screams to Jericho to not overlook him. The match has started, looks like Jericho is going to wrestle hurt. Del Rio dominated the majority of the match by attacking Jericho’s injured ribs. Ziggler interfered twice, allowing Del Rio to win with the Shining Wizard kick.
After the match, Ziggler and Del Rio double team Jericho until Sheamus makes the save. Del Rio attacks Sheamus, but Sheamus makes a comeback and Del Rio escapes through the crowd. Booker T comes out to address the situation. Booker tells Sheamus that he should not be there. Sheamus demands that his rematch with Del Rio get re-instated. Booker originally says “no,” but Sheamus keeps pleading. After Sheamus said “please” like three times, Booker relented and said that the match is back on for SummerSlam.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Del Rio sneaks back up on Sheamus. Sheamus and Del Rio fight into the crowd and Sheamus gets the upper hand. Sheamus then stood victorious as Del Rio ran away again.

Michael Cole having the Texas Longhorn logo on his Titantron got real heat in the home of the horns.
Lillian sang the national anthem, such an amazing voice!
Show started with a recap video of the Sheamus / ADR feud.
Del Rio came out with RR. He cut a promo demanding that he get his World Heavyweight Championship match reinstated. Booker T came to the ring and said that a man doesn’t hire goons to beat up one guy. Del Rio says that he spoke to his lawyers, and is interrupted by Y2J, who tells Del Rio to shut the hell up. Jericho says that after he beats Ziggler at Summerslam, he will take Del Rio’s spot against Sheamus. General T books a match tonight, Y2J vs. Alberto Del Rio.
Match 6: Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho
Jericho is attacked on the way to the ring by Ziggler. Booker T breaks it up and calls for medics.
Back in the ring, Rodriguez announces Del Rio the winner by forfeit. Del Rio calls out Booker T to reinstate his Summerslam match. Instead, Jericho comes out to wrestle. Del Rio wins with the help of outside interference by Dolph Ziggler.
After the match, Del Rio with the cross arm breaker on Jericho as Ziggler talks trash. Sheamus hits the ring and Ziggler bails. Sheamus chases Del Rio into the crowd.
Booker T comes out to the stage and asks Sheamus why he is here. The champ tells Booker to reinstate the match with Del Rio. Booker reluctantly agrees.
Del Rio comes back and brawls more with Sheamus. Del Rio runs off the back and the champ stands tall.

Tonight WWE taped this week’s Smackdown episode from the Frank Erwin Center in Dallas, Texas. Here are the full results.
SmackDown opens with Alberto Del Rio. He wants to see General Manager Booker T and wants his World Heavyweight Title match back on for SummerSlam.
SmackDown opens with Alberto Del Rio. He wants to see General Manager Booker T and wants his World Heavyweight Title match back on for SummerSlam. He’s interrupted by Booker T and then Chris Jericho. Jericho wants the title shot at SummerSlam and it’s Del Rio vs. Jericho in tonight’s main event.
Alberto Del Rio defeated Chris Jericho. On the way out, Ziggler attacks Jericho. Jericho wrestles the match hurt. During the match Ziggler tried to interfere several times.
After the match, Ziggler and Del Rio double team Jericho until Sheamus makes the save. Booker T comes out and addresses the situation, and say’s Sheamus shouldn’t be out there. Booker T re-instates the Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus match for SummerSlam.
