SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Sept. 28, 2012

September 28, 2012

Will it be the WMD or the RKO?

Monday night on Raw, Big Show returned to the squared circle in gigantic fashion, interrupting the match between Brodus Clay and Tensai and knocking out both massive Superstars with his earth-shattering WMD. Tonight, The World’s Largest Athlete will look to follow up that assault when he stomps his way onto SmackDown and into a one-on-one clash against Randy Orton and his always dangerous RKO.

WWE’s Apex Predator has been on an absolute tear lately. After making his intentions clear — several weeks ago — that he wants to face World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus for his illustrious title, he overcame Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions, Tensai on both Raw and SmackDown and even teamed with The Great White to defeat The Showoff & Alberto Del Rio one week ago. And while his success seems to be putting him on the right track to a title opportunity in the near future, his impending clash with Big Show could prove to be the deciding factor.

As for The World Largest Athlete, it’s hard to tell what he’s after? Is he still driven by an indiscriminate urge to destroy anything in his path? Does he have something personal to prove to Orton himself? Or does he have immediate, golden aspirations on his mind. Regardless of the answer, one thing is for sure: Tonight, action will speak louder than words.
