Meet WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio, future WWE talent in South Florida

WWE NXT Tour makes West Palm Beach debut on Oct. 26

WWE NXT conducts its inaugural show in West Palm Beach on Friday, Oct. 26. The show will be highlighted by a special guest appearance from WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio who will sign autographs for fans prior to bell time.

Del Rio, a South Florida resident, is featured as a prominent performer on WWE’s flagship programs — Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. The 6-5, 239-pound competitor is a second generation Mexican-born athlete whose father, Dos Caras, maintained a successful 30-year career in Mexico. Del Rio’s crowning achievement was in 2011 by becoming the first Mexican-born WWE champion. He had two title reigns and wants another.

Del Rio’s appearance in West Palm Beach is in conjunction with the WWE NXT Live Tour stop at the West Palm Beach National Guard Armory. Bell time is 7:30 p.m. VIP ticket holders receive access to the autograph session featuring Alberto Del Rio at 6 p.m. Other ticket levels will receive access at 6:30 p.m. WWE NXT superstars and divas will also sign autographs and pose for photos. It is a family-friendly environment.

Eight big matches are on the wrestling card, featuring WWE NXT champ Seth Rollins and other superstars and divas. WWE NXT, formerly FCW, is the official developmental system for the future stars of WWE.

Tickets range from $10 to $35 and will be available online at www.nxtwrestling.com and participating Buddy’s Home Furnishings locations. The West Palm Beach National Guard Armory is at 3193 Gun Road, West Palm Beach, Fla. 33406.
