Celebrity interviewer and CNN iReporter Aladino attended the kick off with current WWE® World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto del Rio, and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez of WrestleMania 29.

The WWE® ’s annual pop-culture extravaganza, which airs live on pay-per-view Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 7 PM ET from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

WrestleMania is more than just a one day event; it is a week-long celebration. WWE® will take over the New York/New Jersey area for the week with more than a dozen community related events plus fan festival, WrestleMania Axxess at the IZOD Center.

Community events include hospital visits with children in NY and NJ, anti-bullying rallies at schools in NY and NJ, a star-studded kick-off party and auction at Cipriani Wall St. to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy recovery, a WrestleMania Reading Challenge Celebration, the WrestleMania Reading Challenge Finals, and special events with Make-A-Wish kids and their families.

More than 70,000 people are expected to attend WrestleMania on April 7 at MetLife Stadium.

Aladino asked Alberto about the comments made by Jack Swagger regarding his immigrant status and the Champion responded with “I’m kicking up his ass, and I don’t care what ever he says”
