They may not have called this the Smackdown brand but it definitely came across as the number two show for WWE. Dolph Ziggler didn’t work on the show. Instead, Big E. Langston replaced him and lost a No DQ match to Alberto Del Rio in the main event. The fans picked the stipulation for the match.

Did Dolph Ziggler Return To Action?, Sunny Says Her Book Is Done, Mason Ryan

Despite reportedly being cleared to wrestle, World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler did not return to in-ring action at last night’s WWE live event in Johnston City, Tennessee.

Ziggler cut a promo early in the show and then was ringside for the Alberto Del Rio vs. Big E Langston No DQ main event. Ziggler and AJ ended up getting ejected from ringside before Del Rio won the match.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Big E Langston (w/Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee) in a No DQ match. Langston replaced Dolph Ziggler in the main event. After interferences on the outside from AJ, Dolph, and Ricardo, Del Rio made Langston tap out to the cross armbar.

Dolph Ziggler opens the show by coming out and telling us that he’s still not cleared to wrestle so in his place it will be Big E Langston vs. Alberto Del Rio in the main event.

After the match, Ziggler, Langston and AJ make their way down the ramp and Langston catches Khali with his finisher. The audience had a chance to choose the stipulation for the main event and it was decided to be a No DQ match.

Alberto Del Rio def. Big E Langston by pinfall.
