SPOILERS For Next Week’s WWE SmackDown

Thanks to Brandon H. (@konkotoli), Phillip Barnard (@BLITZheartthrob) and @ImDustinnn for sending us the following WWE SmackDown spoilers from tonight’s tapings in Houston, Texas. These will air on August 2nd:

Michael Cole and Alex Riley are out for commentary.

Alberto Del Rio is out first. He says John Cena wasted his pick on Daniel Bryan because Cena is scared of him. Del Rio says he’s chosen Ricardo Rodriguez as his SummerSlam opponent. Out comes Vickie Guerrero. Vickie makes Rob Van Dam vs. Christian vs. Randy Orton with the winner facing Del Rio at SummerSlam for the World Heavyweight Title.

Christian defeated Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton to become the new #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title. Christian rolled Orton up for the win after Orton hit a RKO on RVD. SmackDown ends with Del Rio attacking Christian.

Street Fight After SmackDown, Hornswoggle Movie Update, John Cena Note

The dark main event after last night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Houston saw Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler in a street fight. Del Rio hit Ziggler with a steel chair to get the win. After the match, Ziggler ducked another chair shot and hit Zig Zag to end the show.

Post Smackdown:

Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler in a street fight. Dolph gives ADR a Zig Zag after the match. I was actually surprised that this match happened because, even though it had been advertised, we hadn’t seen Ziggler all night long.
