SPOILERS WWE SmackDown Results For This Friday

Here are spoilers for this week’s episode of SmackDown from tonight’s TV tapings in Bakersfield, CA. Results are courtesy of ProWrestling.net and their reader, Taylor Gombos:

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian via submission with the armbar. After the match, Ricardo Rodriguez ripped Del Rio and introduced Rob Van Dam. Christian hit Del Rio with a dropkick from the top rope and RVD followed up with a frog splash on Del Rio.

World champ Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian with the armbreaker in a great match. Christian is in control early after a dive to the floor. Del Rio works over Christian, who makes comeback but is sent off the top to the floor. Great series of near falls in this one.

After the match, Del Rio got on the mic and played to the fans, then turned on them. Ricardo came out and praised the crowd in Spanish, then brought out Rob Van Dam. Christian nailed ADR with a missile dropkick. Van Dam hit Rolling Thunder and he and Ricardo hold up the World title.

More Notes and Details From Last Night’s WWE Smackdown Tapings (SPOILERS)

3)The ADR-Christian match told a story. Both went 50-50 in a strong, snug match. I thought the post-match was a bit contrived, but it did its job of setting up RVD-ADR with Ricardo playing Fonzie 2.0.

MISC

1)The crowd was into the action throughout the night. They set the building up with less seats than the 2012 taping (when we were moved into better seats) which made it a more intimate set up.

2)Having the cage prevented the building from using its big screen to show the action. This hurt during the Main Event portion of the night as several of the segments were more TV oriented than for the live audience.

  1. Finally as someone who uses Just for Men for his Beard, any WWE Superstar who has a beard, make sure your using some before going out. The HD cameras pick up your gray hairs pretty easily.
