WWE Live Event Results From Greensboro (1/4): Cena Vs. Orton, NXT Prospect In Action, Ziggler Wins

By Raj Giri | January 05, 2014

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Curt Madden ( @Maddeninsane86 ) for sending in these results from last night’s WWE live event in Greensboro, NC:

Justin Roberts is our ring announcer kicking the event off in Greensboro, NC. A graphic appears with the Bella Twins, Aksana and Alicia Fox. Roberts announces that the WWE universe will have the choice of a dance off or a divas match between the two teams.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Del Rio got some pretty good heat by taunting the fans, acting as if he is going to throw his shirt in the crowd before eventually throwing it on to the floor outside of the ring. Good back and forth match. Del Rio signaled for the armbar and about had it until Ziggler reversed and hit him with the zig zag for the pin!

Ziggler acted like he was dizzy afterwards stumbling up the ramp. He hugged everyone he saw wearing Ziggler gear. Then he hugged senior referee Mike Chioda before leaving.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Decent house show with a decent crowd. Not sure why they split the talent up and had guys like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk in Virginia tonight. Still had fun because it was my daughters first WWE event.

Another Set Of Results From Last Night’s WWE Live Event In Greensboro: Kane Interrupts, Cena, Rusev

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com readers Mandy and TrueAnalyst for sending in these results from last night’s WWE live event in Greensboro, NC. Thanks to Curt Madden ( @Maddeninsane86 ) for sending us the photo above from the event:

Good crowd in Greensboro, NC tonight. Probably around 7,500 in attendance.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Alberto Del Rio in a solid singles match with the Zig Zag after Del Rio missed a side kick to Ziggler’s head. Good bit of playing to the crowd with some nice spots. Ziggler got a great reaction from the crowd.

Some notes from the event:

  • Good attendance with the lower level nearly full. Just as many if not more people that showed up to last TV tapings.

  • Noticed Cody Rhodes limping after his match. Don’t remember them working his leg, so it could have been a legitimate minor injury.

  • Not a bad show overall considering some of the odd match ups.

Biggest pops: 1) Cena 2) Dolph Ziggler 3) Cody and Goldust

Most Heat: 1) Kane 2) Alberto Del Rio 3) Alexander Rusev
