AAA President Joaquin Roldan told Televisa Deportes tonight that Alberto Del Rio is 100% confirmed for Triplemania XXII on Sunday. He didn’t specify on what his role would be other than the fact that he is a guest of the promotion.

Mexico’s AAA promotion has been re-tweeting several fan tweets about Alberto Del Rio’s appearance for the company at their TripleMania iPPV this coming SummerSlam Sunday. They’ve also wrote “welcome home” tweets to Del Rio.
TripleMania will air on regular pay-per-view in Mexico and online at TripleManiaTV.com for $15.99. La Parka, Ricochet, Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett and “Original Sin Cara” Myzteziz will also be in action on the show.
There were rumors on some lucha libre sites yesterday that Del Rio won’t be wrestling for AAA this Sunday but is expected to return to the AAA ring before the year is over.

Joaquin Roldan of Mexico’s AAA promotion confirmed tonight that former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio will be at AAA’s TripleMania iPPV event on Sunday at Arena Ciudad in Mexico City. Roldan did not specify what Del Rio’s role will be.
It’s possible that Del Rio can make just an appearance without breaking his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE. The chances of him wrestling are very slim. We hope to have an update later.

Ricardo Rodriguez tweeted last night and said unfortunately he won’t be appearing with Alberto Del Rio at Sunday’s AAA TripleMania pay-per-view but teased appearing for the promotion once his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE is up.
