Alberto Del Rio will reportedly be doing media appearances in the United States soon to go into more details about what happened with his WWE departure. Del Rio’s representatives have contacted indie wrestling promoters in the US and said that Del Rio will be taking bookings for autograph signings and matches in the US very soon because he doesn’t feel that WWE’s one-year non-compete that keeps him from doing MMA and pro wrestling, while not paying him, will hold up in court. Del Rio’s asking price for indie bookings is said to be extremely high.
Del Rio has been upset about WWE’s social media worker Cody Barbierri not being fired for the incident they were involved in but for legal reasons, hasn’t been saying anything like that publicly. At first Del Rio was going to speak out in the US media but decided against it. Now, his lawyers have reportedly given him the green light to speak out in the US.
It was also reported by those close to the situation that when Triple H called Del Rio about the departure, he told Del Rio to keep his nose clean and when the heat died down, they would re-hire him in 6 months. Del Rio said he wasn’t interested in coming back. Top stars including Big Show, Randy Orton and John Cena all told Del Rio that they would push for him to be re-hired because most of the locker room was sympathetic to what had happened. Again, Del Rio made it clear he didn’t want to come back.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Triple H reportedly informed Alberto Del Rio to “keep his nose clean” when he called to inform Del Rio that he was fired from the WWE. This is taken to mean that Del Rio could have been rehired to the company in about six months after the heat from his backstage incident cooled off. There is precedence for WWE rehiring wrestlers after letting them go in the past as a disciplinary action. Case in point, Daniel Bryan’s firing in 2010 for choking Justin Roberts on TV. However, Del Rio is said to have told Triple H that he had no interest in returning to the WWE.
In addition, the report goes on to say that top stars, including John Cena, Big Show, and Randy Orton, spoke to Del Rio and said they would push for him to get rehired because many talents in the locker room took Del Rio’s side over his slapping of Cody Barbierri. Del Rio then made it clear to the aforementioned Superstars that he never wants to return.

As noted before, AAA used Alberto Del Rio’s WWE theme song for his appearance at TripleMania last Sunday. Former WWE star Lance Storm tweeted about how La Parka came out on the same show to Michael Jackson’s Thriller song. Storm used a “#CopyRight” hashtag. A fan replied and said they don’t worry about trademark laws in Mexico. Konnan replied to that tweet with, “Correct, we even used ADRs entrance music from wwe..”

There hasn’t been much talk at all within WWE this weekend about Alberto Del Rio and AAA or AAA airing the Rey Mysterio video. We do know WWE officials are upset with the two but apparently there wasn’t much backstage chatter this weekend.

En la semana anterior después de su despido, el Cinco Veces Campeón Mundial Alberto Del Rio, manifestó que varios luchadores de la WWE se han manifestado a su favor. Y no estamos hablando de los Mid-carters solamente, sino superestrellas de alto calibre que han sido campeones mundiales.
Gente de gran trayectoria como The Big Show (de pasado WCW), Randy Orton y John Cena, habían hablado con Del Rio que meterían presión a la directiva para que lo vuelvan a contratar, y que el vestidor esta de lado del pueblo latino.
Aunque “El Hércules Potosino” ha manifestado que no regresaría a la empresa, es bueno saber que tienes compañeros que están a tu lado en las adversidades.
WWE está enojada con Alberto Del Río y Rey Mysterio
Los directivos en WWE están molestos y a la vez preocupados por lo que dijo Alberto Del Río en Triplemanía XXII al refirirse en sí a WWE como racista y no específicamente a Cody Barbierri, al momento de decir que “le podrían sacar el trabajo, pero no su dignidad”.
Su discurso en Triplemanía XXII hizo quedar mal a WWE con el público latino, sobre todo en México , pues hay que recordar que WWE estará el 18 y 19 de octubre en la Ciudad de México y en Monterrey respectivamente, generando evitar la venta de boletos en WWE.
En el caso Rey Mysterio también están disgustados con el por el hecho de anunciar que no volvería a firmar con WWE luego de que su contrato llegue a su fin, dando a entender al final del video aparece el hashtag #FreeRey, además indican que emisión del vídeo podría traer problemas legales entre WWE y AAA dado que, aunque se mostró una vez finalizado el evento, pues en algunos lugares los televidentes pudieron ver esta parte final de Triplemanía.
“Fue un malentendido.”: WWE en el caso Alberto del Río
Concisa y contradictoria. Así es la nueva declaración de la WWE en torno al polémico despido del luchador mexicano Alberto del Río por abofetear a Cody Barbierri, Director de Redes Sociales de la compañía estadounidense, luego de realizar comentarios racistas contra los hispanos.
El día de hoy 19 de agosto de 2014, la empresa presidida por Vince McMahon, respondió a la solicitud de Geno Mrosko, Gerente General del portal de noticias de Wrestling y MMA CagesideSeats.com, quien buscaba una explicación y más revelaciones sobre lo ocurrido en el caso del ahora conocido en AAA como El Patrón.
Esta fue la respuesta otorgada por un Portavoz Oficial de WWE:
“Este fue un desafortunado malentendido que llevó a un incidente desafortunado. WWE no aprueba cualquier tipo de discriminación y es inflexible en torno a ofrecer un ambiente de trabajo respetuoso y seguro.”
De este mensaje podemos deducir que la WWE mantiene la postura dada por Vince McMahon a Alberto del Río en su reunión post-incidente, en donde Vince aseguró a Del Río que la sonrisa descarada brindada por parte de Barbierri a Alberto: “fue por nervios al ser confrontado por una Superestrella”. También deja en claro que la empresa decidió apoyar la versión dada por el personaje que realizó los comentarios racistas y define que el incidente se provocó como consecuencia de “un malentendido” (o mala interpretación por parte de Alberto a los comentarios de Barbierri).
Pero además, se confirma la información extra revelada por Richard Gray de la página web WrestlingNewsWorld.com, en donde señala que la demanda que Cody Barbierri buscaba realizar en contra de WWE tenía como principal alegato un “ambiente de trabajo inseguro”.

La de Del Río: Racismo.
La de Barbierri: ambiente de trabajo inseguro.”
Lo contradictorio de este mensaje, es que si bien la WWE quiere que todas las personas que trabajan para ellos tengan un espacio cómodo, tranquilo y sencillo, el cual se pudo haber visto violentado para Cody Barbierri tras la bofetada de Alberto del Río (y que también se pudo haber evitado, si Barbierri no hubiese realizado estos comentarios), se señala en el comunicado que la WWE rechaza cualquier tipo de discriminación, sin embargo, el autor de los comentarios racistas, al ser uno de los trabajadores favoritos de Stephanie McMahon y al ser amigo de “Road Dogg” Jesse James, a su vez íntimo amigo de Triple H, fue protegido y continúa manejando las Redes Sociales de WWE.
Tras los miles de mensajes de los fanáticos de la WWE en contra de Cody Barbierri, éste decidió Privatizar su cuenta de Twitter: @CodyBarbierri y ninguno de sus Tweets se pueden observar, pero los Trinos en su contra continúan.
